Corvette – Gybow Technology
The FIXIP LAB recently tested the Gybow system, an innovative tool that projects images onto a car in a studio setting. This project aimed to capture four shots to assess the technology’s potential, and the results were impressive. Developed by industry experts, Gybow enhances visual production with remarkable speed, allowing multiple angles to be captured in a single day. Its efficiency extends to post-production, simplifying the positioning and composition of vehicles compared to traditional methods. One standout feature of Gybow is the realism of its images. By photographing a real car, we achieve authentic reflections, while the flexible dome enables a unique mixed-reality experience.
Gybow transforms visual production workflows. With a reference car, photographers can focus on composition and produce numerous images without concerns about vehicle quality. After capturing the shots, the team can validate angles and reprogram a session with Gybow for final rendering. The system offers undeniable advantages: quick creation of diverse shots, impressive realism, and relevant modularity, even if it’s less extensive than CGI. While Gybow is limited to real cars, making certain options less flexible, it remains a highly effective tool for many projects.
In summary, Gybow is a valuable technology that should be tailored to the specific needs of each project, enhancing our ability to meet client expectations while maintaining high visual quality. Discover the entire LAB PROJECT here.
