The 2024 Toyota BZ4X project with Heather Gildroy and Per Norberg was an exciting and refreshing experience. The images we worked with were quite different from the usual Toyota visuals, giving us a unique opportunity to create something truly distinctive for this folio project. Initially, we considered warmer, more conventional tones but ultimately chose to keep the color grading fresh and natural, enhancing the realism while still maintaining a crisp chromatic feel.

A particularly interesting aspect of this project was working on virtual rigs for the action shots. We always enjoy the challenge of refining our virtual rig techniques, and even though we’ve mastered creating high-quality virtual rigs, it’s great to have opportunities to keep improving. Virtual rigs are incredibly useful when real rigs aren’t feasible, and being able to produce virtual rigs that match the quality of actual rigs is a valuable asset for our clients. Overall, this was a fantastic project, with the car’s sleek lines set against the striking desert landscape of Palm Springs. The fresh, cool color palette and the dynamic visuals made this dossier both visually appealing and creatively satisfying. It was a project we thoroughly enjoyed and are very proud of the results.
